Baylor College of Medicine released three studies on how shift work and a poor sleep schedule affects a man’s urinary and sexual health. One study shows that one in three men who experience shift work disorder had lower urinary tract symptoms. Another showed that men on shift work had lower testosterone that affected fertility.

Work crazy hours? Your sleep schedule might not be the only thing that pays the price: Working outside normal hours might affect your sexual and urological health, a series of studies presented at the American Urological Association’s annual meeting suggest. In many cases, shift work—which is usually defined as working outside the regular 7:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m. workday—messes with your sleep habits, which can impact your circadian rhythm and your hormones. Here are three ways your wonky work hours might be wrecking you below the belt.
